Not Just Soldiers Coming Home with PTSD
"Soldiers aren't the only heroes who can suffer post-traumatic stress disorder from serving in the battlefields. Dogs who've served are also falling victim.
Nicholas Dodman, head of the animal behavior program at Tufts University's Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, says there's a condition in dogs that's 'almost precisely the same, if not precisely the same, as PTSD in humans.'"
